Research
Research Goals
Dreamjob goal is to help people get jobs.
How it can be achieved:
Taking away the pain out of job hunting and
Improving the recruitment journey through data.
Foster a collaborative workplace that strives to create the best experience for job seekers.
Strategy
Qualitative and Quantitative method are being used in this research.
Qualitative research explores user’s attitudes, behaviours, and opinions. It provides key insights into understanding the context behind why trends and patterns arise.
The qualitative methods used in this research includes; user interviews and customer calls.
Identifying users
Participants for this research are people who use job applications such as indeed, jobberman, etcetera to job-hunt:
An active user of job search applications would give me detailed reviews and challenges of their experiences using job search applications.
Active job application users are the desired user persona.
User persona
Recruiting
I recruited 10 participants (friends, colleagues, people from the public and friends of friends). I drafted screening questions to screen the participants.
The screening questions contained 6 questions. I also asked screened participants for their contact information to keep in touch with them if they fit the persona for my research.
I uploaded the screening questions on Google forms and a link to the form was shared on my media platform.
Affinity map
I used an affinity diagram to organize data and ideas gathered from the interview. Analyzing and synthesizing the user research findings by patterns and themes.

Low fidelity
I created an interactive low fidelity wireframes

Low-fi usability testing
I conducted 4 testing sessions with potential users using the tool Lookback and Zoom.
During these sessions, I observed users loosing interest due to long process in creating a resume.
Iteration
I added an option for users to skip and continue with the process later on. I applied this feedback in the High-fidelity design.
Hi-Fi Design
I started designing my high fidelity screens, by gathering design inspiration for my design solution using Dribble & Behance.
I applied high fidelity treatments to my wireframes. The prototype was sent out for usability testing to confirm accessibility and get insight on any other flaws.
Usability testing
From the feedback, I took out some screens due to its non relevance and not serving any purpose to the users only creating more process.
Also, the menu button should not be accessible to users until they have signed in or logged in on the application to avoid any form of confusion.
I iterated on my high fidelity designs in Figma and feedback was implemented.
